U.S. District Judge Deborah Boardman ruled that President Trump's administration cannot withhold citizenship from children born to people in the country illegally or temporarily.

U.S. President Donald Trump's order restricting birthright citizenship was blocked nationwide by a fourth court on Thursday, after a judge issued an injunction in a class action covering children born anywhere in the United States who would be affected by it.

Trump signed an executive order on his first day back in office banning birthright citizenship to children born to people in the country illegally or temporarily, in what has been slammed by many as a violation of the 14th Amendment of the Constitution of the United States.
