Moscow: Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to India is expected at the end of August, a leading news agency of the country reported on Thursday citing comments made by National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval during his ongoing visit to Moscow.

Putin will likely visit India soon, confirmed by NSA Doval. The visit's confirmation comes as the US imposed a 50% tariff on Indian goods due to Russian oil imports.

NSA Ajit Doval said New Delhi is 'excited and delighted' about the upcoming engagement. He also described the past India-Russia summits as 'watershed moments' in bilateral relations, underlining the significance of the forthcoming meeting.
