North Texas is fast becoming a new frontier for film and television, and one of the biggest names behind it is Fort Worth native Taylor Sheridan, the creator of Yellowstone and its spinoffs.

The "Yellowstone" creator, Paramount and billionaire Ross Perot Jr. have joined forces on a massive new studio just as Texas has gone big on a new tax incentive program for films and television.

Post-merger, New Paramount is setting out to make a splash with buzzy talent deals and (hopefully) big blockbusters. But the incoming Skydance overlords aren’t going to turn their noses up at what was already working with the studio,
