Aaron Judge could return to the New York Yankees' lineup as early as Tuesday vs. the Texas Rangers, manager Aaron Boone shared with reporters on Monday. Nothing is set in stone, though, as Boone wants to speak with Judge once he arrives in Texas.

At the same time, only two franchises (Houston and Los Angeles) have won more regular-season ballgames than New York since Boone took over in 2018. During that span, the Yankees have captured three division titles and reached the postseason via wild card three additional times. If that’s what disorganized organization looks like, sign me up.

Former Detroit Tigers pitcher Kenta Maeda has signed a minor-league contract with the New York Yankees and been assigned to Triple-A Scranton. Maeda, 37, signed a two-year, $24 million deal with the Tigers before the 2024 season and began the year in the starting rotation. But he was bounced to the bullpen last July after months of inconsistency.
