Tennessee death row inmate Byron Black's defibrillator did not cause any direct complications during his execution this week, his attorney said.

Convicted murderer Byron Black was put to death by lethal injection Tuesday, Aug. 5, in what experts believe is the first execution of a death row inmate with a working heart-regulating device.

After the execution of Byron Black on Aug. 5, witnesses are slated to speak at a news conference outside the prison.
