Tampa Bay's offense did nothing after the first inning and Adrian Houser wasn't sharp in his first game with the Rays in a 5-1 loss to the Los Angeles Angels. It was the first of a 12-game West Coast road trip.

If Monday night was an indication of what’s to come, the Rays are in for an even longer road trip. Playing the first of 12 games over 14 days all on the West Coast — their longest trip since 2005 — the Rays gave up a first-inning lead and lost to the Angels 5-1 in Anaheim, California.

The Dodgers have struggled to hit home runs, but they put the ball in play enough Sunday to close out a road trip with a 3-0 win over the Rays.
