SAN ANTONIO – A mosquito pool in San Antonio has tested positive for West Nile Virus, according to the City of San Antonio Metropolitan Health District.
According to the Department of Health and Human Services, the West Nile virus (WNV) is the most common mosquito-borne disease in the US, and around 2,205 cases are reported each year.
The City of San Antonio announced its first positive test of 2024 for West Nile Virus. It was found on the city's Southwest Side near Loop 410.
