After earthquakes centered in New Jersey rattled parts the NYC area twice in less than two weeks, a seismologist says it's unlikely a sign of things to come.

The epicenter of the 3.0-magnitude quake, which struck around 10:20 p.m. on Saturday, was near Teterboro Airport in New Jersey.

The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said the 3.0 magnitude earthquake occurred as the result of “faulting at shallow depths of the crust.”
