President Trump has a “very open mind” about who should replace Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell and he’s even considered Janet Yellen for the post, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent revealed Tuesday.

After calling India noncooperative in trade talks, Bessent expressed hope that the Trump administration could finalise its trade deals by the end of October, calling that target “aspirational” but achievable.

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent on Tuesday said several large trade agreements were still waiting to be completed, including with Switzerland and India, but the South Asian country had been "a bit recalcitrant" in talks with the United States.
