Secretary of the Army Dan Driscoll hailed six soldiers as heroes for their quick actions to take down a gunman at a Georgia army base, who shot five people.

A sergeant shot five soldiers Wednesday at one the country's largest Army posts before he was quickly tackled by other Fort Stewart troops, forcing a brief lockdown, officials said.
