James Marsden is opening up about coming back to the big screen as Cyclops. In a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Marsden spoke about how he feels to reprise his role as comic book character Cyclops in the upcoming film, Avengers: Doomsday.

After The Marvels and Deadpool & Wolverine laid the groundwork for more Fox X-Men to return, Avengers: Doomsday is going all in by bringing back several non-Wolverine (or Professor X) characters from the original films. Among them is James Marsden, who played Cyclops in that initial trilogy and didn’t really get to do much in them.

In a full-circle moment, James Marsden is returning to the role that first put him “on the map.” The Paradise actor and newly minted Emmy nominee sat down with Vanity Fair recently to discuss reprising his X-Men character Cyclops in the Russo Brothers’ forthcoming Avengers: Doomsday.
