Houston is playing Correa at third base for the first time in his career to take over Paredes's spot. Days after the Astros traded with the Twins to bring Carlos Correa back to Houston in order to replace the injured Isaac Paredes at third base, the team offered a pretty big update on Paredes's injury status.

"The Twins had the opportunity to acquire Houston Astros first baseman Christian Walker in their Carlos Correa trade talks, but passed, not wanting to take on the two years and $40 million left on his contract.

Astros owner Jim Crane swindled the Twins in the Carlos Correa trade. Crane claimed trading Correa would make the Twins more valuable in a potential sale.
