Nairobi: A plane belonging to an air ambulance service provider crashed in a residential area just outside Kenya's capital on Thursday, killing at least six people, according to a local official and the aircraft's owner.

A Cessna Citation XLS jet operated by AMREF Flying Doctors crashed in Kiambu County, Kenya, claiming six lives. Authorities responded quickly to the scene, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.

Kiambu County Commissioner Henry Wafula said six people on the plane were killed, including doctors, nurses and the pilot - as well as another two people on the ground, while two others were seriously injured. Investigators have been despatched to the scene of the crash to establish its cause.
