Here are other updates on Northern California wildfires. The Orleans Complex fire spanning Del Norte and Siskiyou counties was 80% contained, according to a Friday update from firefighting agencies. The cluster of fires started July 8 and, since early Thursday morning, includes the Big Cliff Fire, an uncontained blaze that has spread to 247 acres.

The Canyon Fire is about 90 miles southeast of the massive Gifford Fire, which now covers nearly 100,000 acres. The cause is under investigation. Temperatures in the area are near 100 degrees and humidity as low as 15 percent.
